9. ‘The Truth Is Out There Premiere’, London 2011
I attended the international premiere of ‘The Truth Is Out There’ which took place at the British Film Institute’s National Film Theatre in London on 30 April 2011. This was filmed by director Phil Leirness which chronicled actor Dean Haglund’s journey to find out why conspiracy theories put such a stranglehold on his mind, and why they’ve possessed millions of other people similarly over the millennia. Viewers followed him as he embarked on a journey of inner discovery with his therapist Dr. Nicki Monti to determine if there was a spiritual dimension that all humans share which draws them to unexplained phenomena. Dean and producers Lyle Skosey and Phil Leirness travelled the globe, using their ‘insider’ status, to interview conspiracy theorists, researchers, authors, journalists, New Age devotees, scientists and artists. The movie also included individuals like actors Chase Masterson and Eric and Eliza Roberts; comedian Claudia Christian; UFO researchers Richard Dolan, Peter Davenport, Jordan Maxwell, and Dr. Roger Leir; talk show hosts Alex Jones, Rob Simone; authors G. Edward Griffin, Tucker Smallwood, and David Sereda, plus many more including a Lone Gunmen reunion with actors Bruce Harwood and Tom Braidwood.
Both Dean & Phil were present, and it was great to finally meet his co-host of Chillpak Hollywood Hour. I was also introduced to Dr. Nicki Monti, who I also follow on Facebook.
The website is no longer around, but here’s the trailer for the motion picture
You can also watch it on Amazon Prime in the USA, but unfortunately not in the UK.

Another lady I was pleased to see again was Mel Power, who I first met in New York at David Duchovny’s play ‘Break Of Noon’ in 2010
The following year, Chillpak Holywood in L.A. joined across the airwaves with Siren FM in Lincoln, after Phil met it’s founder Alex Lewczuk, and had an hour’s slot every week on the Midweek Drive show. I was very interested in the Mayan calendar countdown which ran from December 20th to 21st, and ended up connecting to Alex through Facebook. He even read out some of my comments. Later in the year I ended up getting a few interviews on his radio show, where Alex aired some original songs I recorded, as well as the ‘David Duchovny’ song by Bree Sharp that I performed for the UNICEF gig! Just recently he aired a song I wrote with a musician friend whilst in lockdown. It’s called ‘Don’t Give Up’, and I chose the title from Frank Spotnitz’s motto on X Files. He saw my tweet and told me it was lovely and he was honoured!
