1. Gillian Anderson at ‘What The Night Is For’, London 2003
My first encounter with an X File star was Gillian Anderson, when I went with my husband to see her play ‘What The Night Is For’ at the Harold Pinter theatre in London, 2003. Afterwards we met her briefly at the stage door after the performance.
She signed the programme for us and a photo I had of her during her redhead days!
My husband actually saw her walk past him while we were in San Francisco that same year! I didn’t get a photo as I wasn’t there at the time. But that’s what I call an X File!
In 2009 I saw her in ‘The Doll’s House’ at the Donmar Warehouse in London, alongside Christopher (Doctor Who) Eccleston. Unfortunately I didn’t get to meet her that night, but it was a fantastic performance of Ibsen’s play. As you can see from the photo, I was pretty close to the stage.
